© The Chickasha Express-Star 3 January 2005 Louie "Smitty" Smith Funeral services for Louie "Smitty" Smith, 84, of Newton, Kan., will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2005, at Plainview Mennonite Church in Verden, Okla. Rev. Robert Schmidt will officiate. Louie Smith was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Verden, and died on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2004, in Newton. Burial will be in the Plainview Mennonite Church Cemetery in Verden, under the direction of Peterson Funeral Home of Newton.
