Mrs. Ida Nightingale buried at Plainview Mennonite Church Cemetery

Funeral service for Mrs. Ida Nightingale, 77, Verden, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Plainview Mennonite Church near Verden.

Mrs. Nightingale died at 11 a.m. Thursday in Grady Memorial Hospital. She was born March 20, 1896, at McPherson, Kan.

Mrs. Nightingale was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church. She married Alfred Nightingale in 1916 and moved to the Verden area from Kansas. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1970.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Dessie Koehn of Moundridge, Kan., Mrs. Ruby Koehn of Barnett, Mo., Mrs. Sophia Nightingale of Fairview, Okla., and Miss Mary Nightingale of Verden; nine sons, Meno Nightingale, Daniel Nightingale, and Glen Nightingale, all of Chickasha, Clarence Nightingale, Frank Nightingale, John Nightingale, and Homer Nightingale, all of Verden, Orlie Nightingale of Fairview, and Cecil Nightingale of Leland, Miss.; fifty grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Plainview Mennonite Church Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
