** Bell Anderson, wife of Felix & shown on the stone with him, is not buried at Naples Cemetery. She is buried at Cement Cemetery, Cement, Caddo CO, OK. According to her great grandson When she passed away, the Washita was out of its banks & they could not get from Fletcher to Naples, so she was buried at Cement close to other family. ** George Peter Griswold is actually buried at Pauls Valley according to his pension records. However, the cemetery at Paul's Valley has no idea where he may be buried, so a stone was placed at Naples beside Zilpha, with permission from LaVern Ogle Goodnight. It is a VA issued marker as he was a veteran of the Civil War. The marker was placed by myself, my mother, LeeOna McReynolds Roberts, my father, Alfred Roberts, my aunts, Janet McReynolds, Peggy McReynolds Batchelor, & my Uncle, Aaron Batchelor. The marker is between his grandaughter, WillOna, & his wife, Zilpha. My Mother & Aunts are the daughters of Albert Lee & Juanita Joy McReynolds. Albert was the son of WillOna & Sam McReynolds. ** Mary Lawson Keyes 1862 - 1898 is not buried in Naples cemetery, she is buried in Wilson, OK. cemetery unknown. The stone was purchased by her daughter & left to her daughter & she took the stone to Naples where some of their kin were buried (Ricks). This stone will be left at the Naples cemetery. Her husband is buried in Bailey cemetery, Oklahoma. Per : Linda McDowell |
** George W. Peel is not buried at Naples Cemetery. He was killed in a Battle in Louisiana & buried in a mass grave there. The government head stone was brought to Naples & placed next to his Grandson's grave. Per Ira J. Blackburn |
** Francis Butler Porter, twins & a baby died with the flu in the flu epidemic of 1918. They are buried in a unmarked grave in the Naples Cemetery. A twin was buried on each side of Francis & she was buried holding the baby. Per: Jerry D. Porter |
