Moncrief Cemetery,
Grady County, Oklahoma

Lat: 34°58'20"N, Lon: 97°52'49"W

This cemetery is located out in the country on private property and there
are two locked gates. In order to get access, one must obtain the key at the
store or the post office in Ninnekah

Note:

A cousin from the Moncrief family section that once owned
the Moncrief Cemetery and land told me that Muncrief is the
wrong spelling. Thus I've corrected that here, realizing some
do spell their names as Muncrief.

If you have family or friends buried in this cemetery and
would like to add their names and information, please send
an e-mail to Sandi Carter.

Surnames beginning with:

Common grave of 5 unknown cattle rustlers killed in the late 1880s.
75 unknown graves in all.

Additional information has been gained from the Indian Pioneer Project
of Oklahoma, Burial Ground. Form #1072 - Field Worker: E. A. Cabler

Note by Field Worker: There are a lot of graves with no names, just a sand
rock for a head and foot stone -- can't detect where some graves are.
