After a few years, Pauline owned and operated a used furniture store and auction in Keota, Oklahoma.

She retired in 1993 after working 18 years at Baldor Electric Company in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

After her retirement Pauline moved to Okay, Oklahoma to be close to the kids.
