Katherine [Jones] Hayden

Katherine Hayden was born Feb. 16, 1927 in Austin, Texas, to Charlie H. Jones and Mary Burns. The Jones' relocated to Chickasha from Austin, along with their children Eddie, Charlie, Lula Mae, and Katherine. Katherine was the last of the siblings, who all preceded her in death.

On April 1, 2008 at 4 a.m. in Grady Memorial Hospital, Katherine slipped quietly into a peaceful rest with her family around her. She left behind many friends and loved ones.

Katherine was known to be a warm, caring person who was kind and giving. People loved to be in her presence because she brought joy to those around her. She had a smile to brighten your day, and was known for her listening skills more so than for giving advice. If you had a problem, she had time to listen and you always left feeling better. Katherine was a loving person and Chickasha loved her.

She leaves to cherish her memory loving and devoted children, Charlie Mae Fisher (Bernard), Billie Jean Rayes (Toney), Willie Lee Proctor (Rae Etta), Thurman Lawrence Hayden, Linda Marie Peeples and Deborah Louise Burdex. Katherine was blessed with 23 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, two favorite nieces, Olivia Richardson and Mary Louise Williams and a host of great nieces, nephews, family and friends.
