Betty Sue [Parsons] Edwards

Betty Sue [Parsons] Edwards, 67, of Marlow, died on Saturday, December 31, at her home. She was born on December 7, 1949, to Clarence and Jewell (Self) Parsons in Cement.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 3rd, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Whitt Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 4th, at 10:00 AM at the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling, pastor of Eternal Life Church of Marlow, officiating. Burial will be at the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Whitt Funeral Home.

Betty graduated from Rush Springs High School. She married Ricky Bruce Edwards on December 15, 1967 in Rush Springs. They raised 3 children, Susan, Ericka, and Richard.

She enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and her fur babies, her dachshund, Festus, and calico cat, Chloe. She was a good cook. She was a member of the Eternal Life Church of Marlow.

Betty is survived by her husband, Ricky; her children, Susan Williams of Iowa, Ericka and husband Stan Bazzill of Mississippi, and Richard and wife Candice Edwards of Bray; eight grandchildren, Tayl'r and husband Hoak Kluver of Pocassett, Jordon Harmon of Mississippi, Jadyn Edwards of Pauls Valley, Shelby, J'Cee, Cody and Weston Edwards of Bray, and Parker Bazzill of Mississippi; and two great-grandchildren, Jett and Cooper Kluver; one brother, Carl "Corky" Parsons of Rush Springs; and three sisters, Wanda Mayne of Walters, Alice Ferguson of Marlow, and Virginia Loyd of Rush Springs.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Beatrice Hayes; and three brothers-in-law, Curly Ferguson, Joe Loyd, Vincent Mayne, and Noble Hayes.
