Robert "Bob" Chambers

Graveside service for Robert "Bob" Chambers, age 78 of Chickasha, will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the Laverty Cemetery.

Robert "Bob" Chambers was born August 15, 1927 in Booneville, Arkansas. He was the son of Ruben Carroll and Violet Elizabeth [Yarborough] Chambers. He died Saturday March 25, 2006 in Chickasha.

Bob lived in Chickasha before serving in the Army Air Corps with the occupation forces in Japan during WW II. He came back to Chickasha in 1947. He had worked for Borden Milk and Tom's Peanuts.

He married Nadean Smith on September 7, 1950. They moved to Colorado in 1969 and returned to Chickasha in 1990.

He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church where he served as Deacon Emeritus.

His parents, three brothers Leo Chambers, R. C. Chambers and Jake Chambers and one sister Vertie Sue Riley all preceded him in death.

Survivors include: his wife Nadean Chambers of the home in Chickasha; one daughter Lawana Dean Warzecha and husband Zach of Longmont, Colorado; one son Robert Wayne Chambers and wife Susan of Midwest City, Oklahoma; one brother Marshall Chambers of Chickasha; numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery, Grady County Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
