Steven L. Brantley,

Memorial services will be held for Steven L. Brantley, 42, of Chickasha at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Northside Church of Christ with Jim Talbert officiating.

Steven Brantley was born in Chickasha, on May 13, 1970, the son of Lawrence Brantley and Virgie [Akins] Brantley. He died on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at home in Chickasha.

Steven grew up in Chickasha and attended grade school at Ninnekah Public Schools. He later transferred to Chickasha Public Schools for his high school years.

Steven's first jobs were in Chickasha. He worked at Lightner's Grocery Store and then went to work at Gabriel/Maremont. Steven then moved to work in Lewisville, Texas, where he lived until September 2012.

He loved music and especially loved playing the guitar. Steven also liked going to the mountains, particularly the Colorado mountain range.

He will be missed by family and many friends.

Steven was preceded in death by: his father, one sister Barbara Woolridge and grandparents on both sides of the family.

Survivors include: his mother, Virgie Brantley; three sisters and brother in-laws, Linda and Gary Crow of Chickasha, Pat and Wayne Wickham of Norman, Terry Andrews of Chickasha and brother Larry Brantley of The Colony, Texas. Several nieces and nephews: Brenda McNatt of Chickasha, Susan Martin of Grapevine, Texas, Tiffany and Krystal Cleghorn of Chickasha, Dylan Brantley of The Colony, Texas, Ricky Alcorn of Chickasha and Pamela McConnell of Elk City.

Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery at a later date.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
