James William "Jim" Baker
January 4, 1944 ~ November 19, 2012


James William "Jim" Baker, 68, of Dibble, died Monday, November 19, 2012 at his home. The son of Johnnie and Clara Mae [Ivey] Baker, he was born January 4, 1944 in Pasadena, Texas.

Jim worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator and was Baptist in faith.

In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and raising cattle and horses.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his companion, Brenda Lasenbury of Dibble; one daughter, Pam Glasscock and husband Mark of Texas; four sons, Jimmy Dale Baker of Blanchard, Keith Baker of Lindsay, Curtis Baker and wife Brinda of Cement, and Michael Baker of Chickasha; twelve grandchildren, Zoe, Riley, Devon, Cody, Dustin, Susanna, Peyton, Ashley, and Kevin Baker, and Ethan, Jordan, and Noah Chambers; one sister, Betty Slate of Dibble; two nieces, Robin Slate of Dibble and Paige Hendrix of Texas; and many other loved ones and friends.

Graveside funeral will be held at 3:00 PM, Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Hale Cemetery near Dibble. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
