Paul L. Williams
November 28, 1942 ~ August 14, 2015

Paul L. Williams, age 72 of Tuttle, passed away Friday, August 14, 2015.

Paul Leonard Williams was born November 28, 1942 in Dexter, ME, the older of 2 sons born to Leonard Tracy Williams and Barbara Ruth [Sinclair] Williams.

He was raised in Dexter and attended school there, graduating in 1960.

Paul joined the United States Air Force and served his country proudly for 4 years during the Vietnam War. After the war, he returned to the states settling in Midwest City.

As fate would have it, he met Mary Lou Glazier one night at a skating rink. Paul literally fell head over heels for her, and the two fell madly in love. They were married on September 26, 1964 in Oklahoma City, later settling in Tuttle where together they raised daughters, Kimberley and Stacye and son, Kendall.

Paul worked for 36 years total at Tinker. He worked mostly as an aircraft mechanic and later as a trainer for up and coming mechanics. He was passionate about airplanes and when not at work, one could find him at an air show.

Paul enjoyed playing golf and spent many a day fishing with friends and grandchildren.

He had a Servant's heart and believed in giving back to his community and to the less fortunate. He spent countless hours volunteering at the Tri City Hope Center and more recently with the Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. He also enjoyed an annual summer trip with Builders for Christ, traveling to points across the US to help build new churches. He also traveled halfway around the world to help support and continue construction at Sparrow's Nest orphanage in Latvia.

His greatest joy was Mary and his family, or better known to his grandchildren as Papa. Papa especially loved being an avid supporter of the grandchildren's activities and sporting events. He was their biggest fan!

Paul and Mary have been active members of the Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle for almost 20 years where he served as a deacon.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Leonard and Barbara Williams and A dear uncle, Tom Sinclair.

Paul leaves behind: His wife, Mary of the home; Daughters, Kimberley Martin and husband Tommy and Stacye Schlickbernd and husband Dan, all of Tuttle; Son, Kendall Williams and wife Melanie of Tuttle; Brother, Jack Williams of Bangor, ME; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.
