Fred Taunton
September 1, 1929 ~ January 27, 2020


Fred Taunton was born September 1, 1929 in Huttig, Arkansas to John and Alma [White[] Taunton.

He went to be with the Lord Sunday, January 26, 2020.

Fred served proudly for four years in the U.S. Navy.

He worked at Fairmont Dairy Products and Coca Cola Bottling Company before working twenty six years at Wonder Bread Bakery and then ten years for O.S.B.I.

Fred was preceded in death by his Parents, Brothers, Cosby, Ralph, Albert, Wesley and Roy Taunton. Sisters, Anna Lee Dopson and Mamie Dollar. One son, Fred Downey.

He is survived by his wife, Harmeda Taunton; Daughter, Glenda Taunton Jarnagin; Sons, Jeff Downey and wife Lori, and James Taunton; Grandchildren. Jason Jarnagin and wife Jamie, Ginger Liles and husband James, Jonathan Downey and Emily Downey; Great grandchildren, Austin Jarnagin and wife Sierra, Colby Jarnagin and Cooper Jarnagin, Raigan, Jett, Cayson, and Blaze Liles; One great great grandson, Hunter, Jarnagin.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Resthaven Funeral Home from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Southern Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Tuttle Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Pastor Don Hardy.
