Randall Charles Shifflett
May 27, 1947 ~ September 23, 2014


Randall Charles Shifflett age 67 of Tuttle, formerly of Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at his home. He was born on May 27, 1947 in Shenandoah, VA. He was the youngest child of 13 children born to William Howard Shifflett and Ethel Virginia [Rodger] Shifflett.

Randall grew up a country boy in Virginia, where he learned how to work hard. As a young boy he worked in his father's grocery business and logging business.

At the age of 17, he married the love of his life, Mary Elizabeth Hilliard. They were married on Feb. 5, 1965 in Maryland. To better provide for his family, Randall got a job in 1968 with the Norfolk-Western Railroad. Years later the railroads name changed to Norfolk-Southern Railroad. During his years with the railroad, Randall answered the call to the ministry. After he retired from the railroad he became a Pentecostal Evangelist and he traveled throughout the Eastern and Southern United States for over 30 years.

In 2003, he and Mary moved to Tuttle, OK to be close to their children and grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Randall loved being in the outdoors where he could hunt and fish. His great pleasure however was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

While living in Tuttle, he attended the Amber Mission Holiness Church in Amber, OK. Randall will be remembered as a godly Christian man who loved the Lord with all his heart. He also loved the Church and people of the church. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by: Parents, Howard and Ethel Shifflett; Son, Jeffrey Charles Shifflett; Granddaughter, Raelyn Shifflett; Three brothers, Earman Howard Shifflett, Ervin Henry Shifflett and Raymond Shifflett; One sister, Loretta Hensley.

He is survived by: Wife, Mary Shifflett of the home in Tuttle, OK; Three children, Stacy Shifflett and wife Laurie of Tuttle, Marsha Callahan and husband Kevin of Tuttle, Forrest Shifflett and wife Amy of Tuttle; Seven sisters and one brother all of Virginia, Ruth Hensley, Helen Lucas, Edna Kesner, Dorothy Shifflett, Clarine Eppard and husband Bennie, Reba Dean and husband Voliver and Irene Hensley and husband Carroll; One brother, Ralph Shifflett; Eight grandchildren, Stacy Shifflett Jr., Brittney, Alexia and Aiden Callahan, Chase, Colin, Ethan and Hope Shifflett; Mother and father-in-law, Catherine and Charles Hilliard of Stanley, VA. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, Sept. 26, 2014 at the Amber Mission Holiness Church in Amber, OK. Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK. Funeral arrangements are with Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle, OK.

Raelyn Elisabeth Shifflett
December 27, 1996 ~ October 24, 2003


Raelyn Elisabeth Shifflett, age 6 of Tuttle passed away Friday at Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City following an accident while riding horses with her family.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Newcastle. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Tuttle Assembly of God, with Rev. Randy Perry officiating.

Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle. Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Newcastle is handling arrangements.

Raelyn was born December 27, 1996, in Oklahoma City, the oldest of two children born to Forrest Wayne Shifflett and Amy Elisabeth Waller Shifflett.

She lived in Tuttle all her life and attended Tuttle public schools. She was a first grade student in Lori Watford's class.

Raelyn loved singing and going to children's church at the Mission Holiness Church in Amber. She also loved going to visit her grandparents, riding horses, picking wild flowers, playing soccer, writing in her school journal, and her favorite color was pink. Her life touched everyone she knew.

Raelyn is survived by parents Forrest and Amy Shifflett of the home, brother Chase Shifflett of the home, maternal grandparents Kenneth and Carolyn Waller of Tuttle; paternal grandparents Rev. Randall & Mary Shifflett of Tuttle; maternal great-grandmothers Bernice Holley of Tuttle, and Aumilda Waller of Mansfield, Mo., paternal great-grandparents Charles and Catherine Hilliard of Stanley, Va.; aunts and uncles Holly and Jerry Dodson of Tuttle, Debra Waller of Tuttle, Stacie and Bryan Cole of Midwest City, Stacy and Laurie Shifflett of Virginia, and Marsha and Kevin Callahan of Amber; and cousins Janelle, Michelle, Jerris, Stacy Jr., Craig and Kaitlyn.
