Cornelius Berlin Doss Jr
February 6, 1922 ~ January 15, 2010


Funeral service for Cornelius Berlin Doss, Jr., age 87, of Tuttle, Oklahoma will be held 10:30 am Tuesday January 19, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.

Cornelius Berlin Doss, Jr., was born February 6, 1922 in Tuttle, Oklahoma the son of Cornelius B. and Minnie Mae [Jenkins] Doss. He died January 15, 2010 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Mr. Doss graduated from Tuttle High School in 1942 and was always an avid sports fan for Tuttle Public Schools. He loved fishing and hunting.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He served in Sicily, Tunisia, Rome~Arno and Southern France. Mr. Doss received the American Theater Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Victory Medal and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. Mr. Doss returned to the Tuttle area and farmed. He retired over 10 years ago.

In his later years he enjoyed his grandchildren.

He and Thelma Kathryn Steves were married July 22, 1956 in Tuttle.

Mr. Doss was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tuttle.

He was preceded in death by: His parents: Cornelius and Minnie Doss, Brothers: James, Floyd, Freely, Bluford and Raymond, Sisters: Elsie, Bertie, Lorene and Lena.

Survivors include: Wife: Thelma Kathryn Doss, 2 daughters: René Doss, Roberta Hinkle and husband, Alan, 1 son: Jerome Doss and wife, Sandy, 1 sister: Lona Mohrmann, 3 grandchildren: Magan Doss, Jeffrey Jackson, and Jacob Hinkle.

Interment will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
