Funeral service for Douglas Crockett Cartwright, 62, of Tuttle, Oklahoma we be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2005 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel, Tuttle.

Douglas Crockett Cartwright was born October 9, 1942 and died October 4, 2005.

Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Douglas Crockett Cartwright, 62, of Tuttle, Oklahoma were held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2005 in the Sowers Memorial Chapel, Tuttle. The family received friends 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2005 at Sevier Funeral Home.

Douglas Crockett Cartwright was born Oct. 9, 1942 in Leckie, West Virginia the son of Elza and Virginia [Norris] Cartwright and died Oct. 4, 2005 in Oklahoma City.

Douglas lived in Tuttle for 25 years. He and Sharon Yeager were married November 21, 1964 in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1963. Douglas worked for General Motors for 30 years retiring in 1998. What Douglas enjoyed most in life was being a father and grandfather. He was widely known and loved as "PopPop".

He was preceded in death by: Parents; three brothers: Tom, Jack and Carl Cartwright.

Survivors include: Wife: Sharon Cartwright of the home; one daughter: Tamera Brockhaus and husband Paul of Blanchard, Oklahoma; one son: Douglas Cartwright and wife Trish of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three brothers: James Cartwright of Union Town, Pennsylvania, Emory Cartwright of Bluefield, West Virginia, Don Cartwright of Wilmington, Delaware; one sister: Shirley Peregoy of Wilmington, Delaware; two grandchildren: Zachary Brockhaus, Jordan Brockhaus; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
