Funeral service for Albert Dee Wilson, age 81, of Chickasha is pending with the McRay Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilson was born December 24, 1923. He died February 10, 2005.

Service is under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Graveside service for A. D. "Shorty" Wilson, age 81, of Chickasha, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Brother John Wise will officiate.

A. D. was born the son of James Edmond Wilson and Maggie Craig Wilson on December 24, 1923, in Comanche, Okla. He died on Feb. 10, 2005 in Chickasha.

A. D. married Viola Beach on March 11, 1949 in Chickasha. A. D. lived in Chickasha most of his life and worked as a welder for many years. He also worked as a diesel mechanic and owned Chickasha Diesel for fifteen years. After retiring, he began working in the oil field as a drilling rig mechanic.

A. D. was proud of his service to his country. During World War II, he served in the Merchant Marines and then the United States Navy. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include: Wife: Viola Violet Wilson of the home. Son: William Lee Wilson of Anadarko. Son: Michael Joe Wilson of Chickasha. Daughter: Patricia Gail Figura of Claremore. Sister: Fay Riddles of Marlow. Grandchildren: Jason Kyle Wilson, Tracy Murray, Allen Wilson, Justin Wilson, Chase Wilson, Terri Lee Wilson, Michael Ray Wilson, Acea Tammy Mealer, Lisa Ann Mealer, Dusty Figura.

To honor A. D.'s wishes, the family has requested no viewing.

Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Viola Violet [Beach] Wilson
December 29, 1928 ~ April 1, 2012


Graveside service for Viola Violet Wilson, age 83 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at Fairlawn Cemetery. Chaplain Cord Fowler will officiate.

Viola was born the daughter of Arthur William Beach and Elizabeth Davis Beach on December 29, 1928 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She died on April 1, 2012 in Chickasha.

Viola was raised in Binger, Oklahoma, but lived most of her life in Chickasha. She married A. D. Wilson on March 11, 1949 in Chickasha. They were married for 56 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elizabeth Beach, and her husband, A. D. Wilson.

Survivors include:
Son: Arthur D. Wilson of Hinton
Son: William Lee Wilson of Chickasha
Son: Michael J. Wilson of Chickasha
Daughter: Patricia G. Figura of Claremore
Ten Grandchildren
Seven Great Grandchildren

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
