Demetra Christine [Jones] Williams
January 25, 1921 ~ May 29, 2007


Funeral services for Demetra Williams, 86, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the College Heights Baptist Church.

Demetra Christine Williams was born January 25, 1921, in Naples, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andrew and Annie Lee [Bell] Jones. She died May 29, 2007, in Chickasha.

She grew up in the Rush Springs area, attending schools at Elm Flat and Ninnekah.

On March 23, 1937, she married the love of her life, Angelo P. Williams. This union blessed them with three children: Angelo Jr., Kenneth, and Barbara. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

She loved doing needlework and had made quilts for each of her children. She also enjoyed working in her yard, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She was a Charter Member of College Heights Baptist Church and a member of the Naomi Sunday school class. She had deep faith and she instilled that faith into everyone and everything in her life.

Demetra was preceded in death by her husband; both parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-law: Angelo and Sharon Williams Jr., and Kenneth Williams, all of Chickasha; daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Larry Murray, of Childress, Texas; brother, William Jones, of Wichita Falls, Texas; seven grandchildren: Kay and Glen Thompson, Beth Williams, and Derek Williams, all of Chickasha, Alicia and Chris Pettett, of Durant, Larry Don and Jennifer Williams, of Leander, Texas, John and Leigh Williams, of Heidelberg, Germany, and K.C. and Meg Murray, of Beaumont, Texas; four great- grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
