August 27, 1950 ~ October 27, 2006


Funeral service for Gary Dean Wallace, 56, of Verden, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 30, 2006 at the New Life Christian Church with Ezell Nelson officiating.

Gary Dean Wallace was born August 27, 1950, in Cherokee, Oklahoma the son of James and Virginia [Thomas] Wallace. He died October 27, 2006, at his home in Verden.

He grew up in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He attended Blackwell Public Schools and graduated from Blackwell High School.

Gary married the love of his life, Debbie McGuire on June 23, 1973, in Blackwell. They had 33 wonderful years together.

In 1993, he opened his own business, G.D. Welding and Auto, which he operated until his illness wouldn't allow him to work.

He was a loving husband, dad, papa, son, brother and friend. He was a people person, always putting others first, even if it meant putting himself out.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, bowling, camping, watching sports, and he was an active member and dearly enjoyed attending New Life Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Wallace.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie, of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law: Cindi and Robert Nichols, Christal and John Bennett, and Brandi and Brian Hymer; mother, Virginia Wallace; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Bernita and Bill McIntire and Lila and Bill Thorn; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Lyndel and Shirley Wallace and Larry and June Wallace; seven grandchildren: J. D., Michael, and Ashley Bennett, Garrett and Maddie Hymer, and Braydon and Ethan Nichols; many nieces and nephews.

Viewing will be held on Sunday October 29, 2006, 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the family present from 5:00 p.m to 7:00 p.m. to accept friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Deborah Ann "Debbie" [McGuire] Wallace
February 20, 1955 ~ June 28, 2020


Memorial services for Deborah Ann Wallace, 65, of Verden, will be held at the New Life Christian Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Deborah Ann [McGuire] Wallace, known to most as Debbie, was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of George Franklin McGuire and Betty [King] Hilbert.

She died Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by family.

Debbie grew up in Blackwell and graduated from Blackwell High School.

On June 23, 1973, she married Gary Wallace and they eventually made their home in Verden where they raised their three daughters. The loves of her life were her family.

She worked at Delta Faucet for 18 years and was a member of New Life Christian Church.

Debbie was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Gary, two brothers Tommy McGuire and Mikey McGuire, and a sister Susan Bell.

Services and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
