October. 30, 1927 ~ January 11, 2004


Chickasja, Okla. ~ John B. Teague, 76, of Chickasha died Sunday, January 11, 2004, in Oklahoma City.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Grand Assembly of God Church, Chickasha. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Mr. Teague served in the Army.

He owned and operated a construction company, a mini-mall in Wichita Falls and Teague Athletic Shoe Store in Chickasha.

Survivors include his wife, Leta of Chickasha; a son, Gary of Chickasha; two brothers, Robert of Wichita Falls and Floyd of Waskom, Texas; a sister, Oletta Elkins of Olney; and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the building fund at Grand Assembly of God Church.

Oleta "Leta" [Hobbs] Teague
October 21, 1924 ~ November 17, 2010


Chickasha - Funeral services for Oleta Hobbs Teague, 86, of Chickasha, will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, in the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha, with Reverend Larry Hatfield officiating.

Leta Hobbs Teague was born October 21, 1924, in Delhi, Okla., the daughter of W.J. and Sytha Hobbs.

She died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in Chickasha, Okla.

She graduated from Delhi High School and later studied business at Southwestern State College, in Weatherford, Okla.

Leta met and married John Teague while working as a telephone company manager, in 1950. They married that same year on April 19, in Erick, Okla.

They had two sons, Benny and Gary. Later, Leta was a Tupperware manager for 16 years. She and her husband John owned a store in Wichita Falls, Texas, for several years. They later owned Teague Athletic Shoe Store in Chickasha for many years before retiring. Leta and John celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2000. Leta's happiest moments were those spent with her family, especially her three grandchildren. She was a member of the Grand Assembly of God Church.

Leta was preceded in death by her husband John Teague, son Benny Teague, both of her parents, three sisters and two brothers.br>
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Nancy Teague, of Chickasha; daughter-in-law, Cindi Teague of Chickasha; brother, T.W. Hobbs, of Sayre, Okla., three grandchildren, Jacqueline Teague, of Oklahoma City, Collin Teague, of Chickasha, and Hannah Teague of Fort Worth and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be held in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
