Funeral Services for Inez Tackett, 86, of Chickasha, will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha.

Inez Tackett was born January 5, 1924 in Bridge Creek, the daughter of Tom B. Ayers and Ethel Flora Lea Morris. She died August 7, 2010 in Oklahoma City.

She was raised in and reared in Bridge Creek, OK. A florist for 45 years, she owned and operated Chickasha Greenhouse in Chickasha since 1977.

She was preceded in death by both parents, one sister: Verneca Wagenblast and one brother: Floyd Raymond Ayers.

Survivors include husband: Harold Tackett, of the home, daughter: Jo Ellen Tackett, of Chickasha and several nieces, nephews and special extended family including Carl and Linda Miller and son, Aaron.

Family will receive friends and visitors in the Eagle Room of Sevier Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2010.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Glenn J. Tackett, 81, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha.

Glenn J. Tackett was born April 10, 1927, in Alfalfa, Oklahoma, the son of Grover L. Tackett and Josie [Moss] Tackett.

He died April 7, 2009 in Chickasha.Glenn attended school at Gotebo, Clinton and Ninnekah.

He and Melvina "Mellie" Jane Lynn were married April 6, 1947 in Chickasha.

Glenn had worked for 7-Up Bottling Company, American National Life Insurance Company, Davison Chemical Company, and Pet Milk. He then worked as an apprentice electrician with Dugas Electric and Leroy Hankins Electric before starting his own business as an electrical contractor from 1965-2008.

He was preceded in death by: Infant son: Kenneth Ray Tackett July 27, 1953; parents; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include: Wife: Mellie Jane Tackett of the home, 1 daughter: Glenda Shearer and husband, Tom, of Chickasha, 2 grandsons: Eddie Shearer of Chickasha, Geff Shearer and wife, Jennifer, of Chickasha, 3 great grandchildren: Kaleb, Olivia and Mykayla, Sister: Juanita Hanks of California, Brother: Harold Tackett and wife, Inez, of Chickasha, Sister: Fannie Mae Parker of California, Beloved nephews, nieces and cousins.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
