Robert Wayne Shoemake
March 22, 1933 ~ anuary 2, 2007


Funeral service for Robert Wayne Shoemake, 73, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 5, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Chickasha.

Robert Wayne Shoemake was born March 22, 1933 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Estel and Grace [Lewis] Shoemake and died January 2, 2007 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Robert lived in the Chickasha area all of his life. He and his family farmed southeast of Chickasha. Robert and Leona Faye Armstrong were married October 19, 1952 in Chickasha.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha.

Robert was preceded in death by: Parents; Infant brother: Billy Gene Shoemake.

Survivors include: Wife: Leona Faye Shoemake of the home; three children: Gary Wayne and wife Sharon Shoemake of Chickasha; James Dale and wife Debra Shoemake of Alex; Lea Ann Francis and Greg Hogan of Oceanside, California; three grandchildren: Christal Gale Bates and husband Chris; Ami Dawn Settle; Kyle Wayne Shoemake and Megan Merritt; five great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law and their husbands: Betty Jean and LeRoy Keck; Frankie Ann and Dale Parr; Niece and her husband: Rena Jean and E.J. Tadlock; Nephew: Kirk Dale Parr and extended family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Leona Faye [Armstron] Shoemake
November 6, 1935 ~ October 26, 2016


Leona Faye Shoemake was born November 6, 1935 in Synder, Texas to James Hudie and Tempa Irene [Barrett] Armstrong. She passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at her son Dale's home in Alex, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

Leona grew up in Naples and graduated from Chickasha High School. She married Robert Wayne Shoemake on October 19, 1952 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. They lived and farmed southeast of Chickasha and they were members of the First Baptist Church, Chickasha, OK.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shoemake on January 2, 2007 and her parents, James and Tempa Armstrong.

Leona is survived by her 3 children: Gary Wayne Shoemake and wife, Sharon, of Chickasha, OK; James Dale Shoemake of Bradley, OK; Lea Ann Francis of Oceanside, CA; 3 grandchildren: Christal Gale Bates and husband, Chris; Ami Dawn Settle; Kyle Wayne Shoemake and wife, Megan; 7 great grandchildren 2 sisters: Betty Keck of Frisco, TX; and Frankie Parr of Oklahoma City, OK.
