Funeral services for Gayle Lena Mackey, 65, of Chickasha, are pending with the Ferguson Funeral Home.

She was born September 25, 1938 and died November 22, 2003 in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services for Gayle Mackey, 65, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2003, at 1:00 p.m. in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha. Steve Parker will officiate, with Rodney Carroll assisting.

Gayle Mackey was born September 25, 1938, in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of Harrison Oliver Worrell and Martha Ellen Barker Worrell. She passed away November 22, 2003, in Oklahoma City.

Gayle married Charles Mackey in Springfield on July 5, 1958. In 1967 Charles and Gayle moved to Chickasha where they raised their four children. Gayle celebrated her home and family during these years. Gayle loved to spend time with her grandchildren and volunteered with church activities. Gayle will always be remembered for her positive outlook on life, strong spirit and bright smile.

She was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

Gayle is preceded in death by both parents.

Survivors include husband Charles of the home; sons and daughter-in-law, Steven Mackey of Ardmore, and Chris and Kerstin Mackey of Lexington, daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Dale Krieger of Chickasha, and Cheryl and Henry Hartsell of Edmond; one brother and sisters-in-law, Robert and Barbara Worrell of St. Louis, and Marilyn Mackey of Chickasha; six grandchildren and spouse, Sara and Nathan Ramsey of Chickasha, Karyn and Kelsie Krieger of Chickasha, and Zachary Miller, Jennifer Hartsell and Elizabeth Hartsell of Edmond; nephews and families, Larry and Janet Worrell of St. Louis, and Roger Worrell and Deanna Monroe of Chicago.

In lieu of flowers please donate to Oklahoma Breast Cancer Research, c/o Ferguson Funeral Home, P. O. Box 1187, Chickasha, Oklahoma, 73023.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
