January 23, 1943 ~ March 24, 2010


Bolivar, MO: Billye Jean Sweetman, 67, passed away March 24, 2010 in Bolivar.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at the Bailey Cemetery, with Jim Deal officiating. Burial will be in the under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK.

Billye was born January 23, 1943 in Bailey Community, Oklahoma, to Robert Leon Deal and Pauline [Fondern] Deal.

Billye lived in Missouri since 2001 and prior to that she lived in Colorado and Oklahoma.

She graduated from Healdton High School and attended Oklahoma City Business College. Billye married James Thomas. He preceded her in death. She later married Ronald Sweetman and he preceded her in death.

Billye enjoyed reading.

Survivors include, 4 sons, John David Thomas and wife Kathleen of IN, Kevin Robert Thomas of Bolivar, MO, Jamie Lynn Thomas and wife Ashley of Springfield, MO, and William Cody Spencer, 3 daughters, Rebecca Jo Lowry and husband Kent of Springfield, MO, Debra Ann Christian and husband Sam of Healdton, OK, and Jeannie McElween and husband John of Bolivar, MO, Several grandchildren, Several great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Norman Deal of Marlow, OK and Robert Deal of MO, 4 sisters, Bobbie Morgan of Healdton, OK, Jayne Irwin of Healdton, OK, Vera Beck of Healdton, OK, and Betty Sweetman of Chickasha,OK, Several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
