Shirley Robert "Bob" Boven, Jr.

Marlow: Shirley Robert "Bob" Boven, Jr. 65, Marlow, Oklahoma, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Duncan.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, December 10, 2007, at the Bailey Cemetery, with Rev. John Sherrill officiating. Services are under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Bob was born Monday, January 19, 1942 in Cadillac, Michigan.

He attended school in Cadillac, Michigan.

He joined the US Marine Corp and served during Vietnam.

Bob lived most of his life in the Marlow area.

He married Kathy Boven in Lansing, MI, she preceded him in death. On Sept. 4, 1961 he married Sandy Baker in Cadillac, MI and she passed away in 2002.

Bob loved to go to the "office" with his friend. He also enjoyed being with his dogs and cats. Bob was a dedicated Texas Longhorns fan.

Survivors include, 3 Sons, Robert Boven & wife Terri of Traverse City, MI, Tim Boven of Traverse City, MI, Joe Boven of Traverse City, MI; 2 Daughters, Robin Ash of Chicago, IL, Jessie Boven, FL; Grandchild, Jason Boven of Traverse City, MI; Sister, Darlene Whitehead & husband Al of Mattoon, IL.

He was preceded in death by his wives and parents.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Walden, Barry Mason, Salvador, Shea Mason, Chuckie Hall and Adam Willis.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for funeral expenses.
