Ruby Mae Smith Fogle
February 22, 1915 ~ August 12, 2008


Ruby Mae Fogle of Maysville, Oklahoma was born February 22, 1915 in Pooleville, Oklahoma to Emmit and Lucy Bell [Russell] Smith and passed from this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 93 years.

Mrs. Fogle grew up in the Pooleville, Graham and Milo areas. She married Jimmie Fogle on January 11, 1934 in Carter County. They made their home in Graham and then moved to Maysville, Oklahoma.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Maysville. Ruby enjoyed quilting, gardening, growing flowers and painting. She loved to travel, as well as go fishing, and was always taking care of her home and her family.

Mrs. Fogle is survived by three sons: Danny Fogle and his wife Joy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Buck Fogle and his wife Sue of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, and David Joe Fogle of Maysville, Oklahoma; five daughters: Christine Catt and her husband Buck of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dixie Shepherd and her husband Donald of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jimmie Boatman and her husband Larry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Margaret Dean and her husband Loyd of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, and Freddie Bermudez of Enos, Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fogle was preceded in death by her parents: Emmit and Lucy Bell Smith; husband: Jimmie Fogle; son: Lonnie Fogle; two grandsons: Jimmy Catt and Donald Dean; four brothers: Luke, Warren, Fred and Bill Smith; and one sister: Mabel Green.

Funeral services for Ruby Mae Fogle are scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Maysville, Oklahoma with Rev. Charley Henthorn officiating.

Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery in Antioch, Oklahoma.
