Zion Lutheran Cemetery


Funeral services for Lawrence R. Hiatt, 69, will be held at 2 PM Saturday in the Zion Lutheran church at Fairmont with Rev. Clarence L. Schultz officiating. Burial will be in the church xemetery under the direction of the Ladusau – Evans Funeral Home.

Hiatt died in a local hospital Wednesday.

He was born July 22, 1904, at Dacoma, and came to Enid six years ago from Douglass. He farmed for 32 years in Douglass and in the past few years, he worked for the county.

He married Martha Hamann on July 24, 1927, and he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Fairmont. He is survived by his wife, Martha; two sons, Verneal Hiatt of Enid, and Bill Hiatt of Sharon; five brothers, Arthur, Warren, and Clark Hiatt all of Wichita, Kansas; Louis Hiatt of Alva; and Andy Hiatt of Anaheim, California; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Mitchell of Dublin, Texas, and Mrs. Edna McDermitt of Hennessy.
