Zion Lutheran Cemetery



The funeral for Leslie E Gash, 70, who died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Oklahoma Heart Hospital after a period of ill health, will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, 2009 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fairmont. The Rev. Timothy Dorsch will officiate. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery . The casket will be open at the church from 12:30 pm until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

He was born June 14, 1938 in Woodward, OK to John Edward and Evelyn Gash. He had lived in Fairmont since 1951. He was a 1956 graduate of Garber High School. He was a longtime employee of the Champlin Refinery until its closing. He then worked as a driver for Atwoods until he retired. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Fairmont.

On October 20, 1957 he married Faye Froemming.

Surviving are his wife, Faye; two daughters, Cheryl Wieden and Jean Gash of Fairmont and one son, Scott Gash of Enid; one sister, Mrs Barbara Semrad of Enid; two brothers, James Gash of Fairmont and John Robert Gash of Enid; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles Gash and one sister, Betty Conner Anderson.

Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation – Heart Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds
