LeRoy W. DURHEIM
Funeral service for LeRoy W. Durheim, 73-year-old Enid resident, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Rev. Scott Whittenburg will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Fairmont, under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

LeRoy was born April 1, 1938, in Enid to Herman and Louise (Helberg) Durheim and died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, at The Commons Nursing Home. He attended Fairmont schools and graduated from Garber High School with the class of 1956.

After graduation he served six years in the United States Army. He then began his career working with OG&E for 35 years, retiring in 1994. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He loved spending time at his house at Canton Lake and also enjoyed gambling trips with his friends.

He is survived by his son, Greg Durheim and wife Connie of Fort Worth, Texas; daughter, Karla and husband Scott Coulson of Enid; five grandchildren, Trevor and Tanner Coulson of Enid, and Tara, Trisha and Brice of Fort Worth, Texas; one great-grandchild, Sirena, also of Fort Worth. Also surviving is one sister, Alleyne Durheim Smith of Fort Worth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to St. Paul’s Lutheran School. Condolences may be sent to the family on-line at www.enidwecare.com. (Submitted by family)
