F.C. Vogelsang received a message from Kansas City where his son Ernest is attending auto school, that Ernest was ill. Mr. and Mrs. Vogelsang left at once for that place. John Bedigrew drove to Enid with them so that they could catch a train without delay.

ERNEST VOGELSANG DEAD
Ernest W. Vogelsang, who left for Kansas City a few weeks ago to attend a technical school died at that place, Friday evening, Feb. 14th at 10 p.m., age a little over 16 years.
Ernest took cold and kept right on going to school. His cold ran into pneumonia and caused his death after about two weeks illness.
Mr. and Mrs. Vogelsang received a message and went to his bedside two weeks ago last Sunday.
The body was brought back Sunday and the funeral held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Interment was in the Lutheran cemetery.
The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the community.

Fred Vogelsang, old resident of Lahoma, died on New Year's day at 5:30 PM of the flu which badly affected his lungs at the advanced age of 78 years, 8 months and 10 days. Interment took place Wednesday afternoon from Zion Lutheran Church at the Lutheran Cemetery, the Rev. Roesel officiating.

The deceased was born at New Biedefeld, St. Louis County, Missouri, and has lived at Lahoma, Oklahoma, since 1908.

He leaves to bemoan his departure his sorrow – stricken widow, Mrs. Caroline Vogelsang, one adopted daughter, Mrs. Anna Ukonaw. An adopted son, Earnest, had preceded the parents in death. Also two sisters, both living in Illinois, two grandchildren and one great – grandchild.

May he rest in peace.
