EARNEST NEHRING DIED FRIDAY
Failed to Recover From Operation
Earnest Nehring, a prominent farmer of the community, living seven miles northwest of town, died at an Enid hospital last Friday morning at 1:30 o'clock.
Mr. Nehring was in town a week ago last Saturday, in his usual health, but complained of feeling rather badly. On Sunday he was taken ill and an operation being deemed advisable he was taken to the hospital and under went the operation Monday afternoon.
It seems, however, that this measure was taken too late to help and he was unable to survive.
Mr. Nehring was born in Germany in 1860 and leaves to mourn his death a wife, three daughters, Mrs. George Ehlers, Miss Hulda and Miss Margaret Nehring of Lahoma, and two sons, Fred Nehring of Meno, and Theodor Nehring of Lahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral services, which were attended by a large crowd, were held Sunday at 3 o'clock from the Lutheran church, with Rev. P.H. Roesel officiating. Interment was made in the cemetery north of town.
The community joins the bereaved family in mourning the loss of their loved one, as by his death we suffer the loss of an honest, upright citizen.
