DEATH OF FRED BRANDHORST

Fred Brandhorst died at his home north of town early Monday morning, after an illness of twenty-four hours.

Mr. Brandhorst worked hard stacking wheat all of Saturday. Sunday morning he had an attack of cholera morbus and grew worse rapidly, the attack ending fatally as above stated.

Deceased was 41 years old and leaves a wife and several children. He came here from Nebraska about 18 months ago, and kept a grocery and shoe store during the winter. In the spring of 1902 he bought a farm and moved upon it. He was a quiet, industrious, honest citizen, and every acquaintance was a friend. He was a brother to C.W. Brandhorst.

Rev. P. Roesel conducted the funeral services Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran church, a large concourse of people being present. The remains were laid to rest in the German Lutheran cemetery, 2 and one-half miles north of Lahoma.
