Kay Diane Byrd, 66, of Norman, Oklahoma, died Saturday, November 17, 2007, at Norman Regional Hospital. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2007, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel with the Rt. Rev. C. Wallis Ohl officiating. Interment will follow at the White Cemetery in Hunter, Oklahoma. Pallbearers will be Brett Byrd, Bart Byrd, Ronald Chain, Charles Chain, Dale Chain, Jr. and Cory Chain. Services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma. Kay was born October 26, 1941, in Hunter, Oklahoma, to Harold R. and Juanita Arlene (Veach) Chain. She graduated from Hunter High School and Oklahoma College for Women. She married Glen R. Byrd on September 21, 1963, in Hunter, Oklahoma. They moved to Norman in March 1966, from Chickasha, Oklahoma. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasha. Kay retired from Purcell Prichard Insurance Agency in December 2006. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Juanita Chain. Survivors include husband, Glen, of the home; two sons, Brett Byrd and wife LeiAn, of Valencia, CA, and Bart Byrd, of Norman, OK; sister, Linda Barbour and husband, Fred, of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Charles Chain, of Enid, OK, and Ronald Chain and wife, Staci, of Hunter, OK; two grandchildren, Jasper and Graham Byrd; along with numerous other friends, family and loved ones.
