Mr. Beck was converted when 22 years of age and joined the Methodist Episcopal church. Later he was affiliated with the Pentecostal Holiness Church. His religious Conviction was the ruling guide of his life.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist church on Saturday afternoon, August 9, the ministers taking part being Rev. F.M. Simpson, pastor of the Methodist church here, who read the scripture lesson; prayer by Rev. Johnson, who is a friend and former neighbor of the family.

In the passing on of Mr. Beck, the community loses one of its most substantial and highly respected citizens and the sympathy of all be extended to the family in their bereavement.
