Death of A. Thompson
A.W. Thompson, who had been afflicted with rheumatism for many years, died at his home 3 miles east of Drummond, Saturday night.
Funeral services were held at the home at 10 o'clock Monday morning, conducted by the Methodist pastor of Waukomis, after which the body was taken to the Waukomis Cemetery for burial.
Deceased is survived by 8 children, four sons and four daughters. His wife and one child having died several years ago.
Mr. Thompson is one of the pioneer citizens of this community having settled on his claim in the opening where he lived until his death. He always stood for the best interests of the community and was a kind husband and father, an accommodating neighbor and a first class citizen and his passing is to be regretted.
