Waukomis Cemetery


ENID — Funeral service for Alexander “Alex” Schemmer, 17-year-old Waukomis resident, will be 10 a.m. today, July 3, 2012, at Waukomis High School Gym. Pastor Dave Jones will officiate. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home.

Alex was born Nov. 22, 1994, in Oklahoma City to David and Conya (Hill) Schemmer and died Friday, June 29, 2012, in Waukomis.

He attended Waukomis schools, where he lettered in varsity football and played Tuba in the band. He belonged to three different honor bands in Oklahoma. He also showed rabbits through ARBA. Everything Alex did he did with his whole heart. He was a member of Waukomis Christian Church.

He is survived by his father, David Schemmer and wife Michelle; his mother, Conya and husband John; four brothers, Gary Price, Cameron Schemmer and Preston Price, all of Kingfisher, and Avery “Boo-Bear” Schemmer of the home; two sisters, Ehteena and Katelyn Stotts, also of the home; grandparents, Robert Hill, Joyce and Jack Schutkesting, and Keith and Linda Schemmer, all of Kingfisher, Laquita Greeson, Enid, Phillip and Karen Stotts, McCloud; and one great-grandpa, Fred Schemmer of Kingfisher.

He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Vinalee Hill, Janie Schemmer, George and Marie Endres and Ron Greeson.

Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson in his name or Waukomis High School Band.
