ENID — Graveside service for Carolyn Ruth Street Sander, 65, will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2011, in Waukomis Cemetery. Rev. Dewey Street will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Carolyn was born Jan. 9, 1946, in Oklahoma to Leroy and Ruth Street and died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, in Enid.

She attended school in Cherokee and Waukomis, Okla.

On Oct. 7, 1962, she married Lynn Semrad in Waukomis, Okla. To this marriage were born two children, Cynthia and Chris.

Carol later married Thomas Sander in Palestine, Texas, on Dec. 24, 1982. Carol was the owner of World Discount Travel. She worked as a travel agent for many years in Oklahoma City.

After retiring to Enid, Okla., in 2000, Carol enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, spending time with her family, her dogs, Maggie and Max, and watching her grandsons play for the Hennessey Eagles. Carol most recently loved watching the OKC Thunder and was anxiously awaiting the birth of her second great-grandchild, Tae Lynn.

Survivors include her husband, Thomas Sander; daughter, Cynthia Eckholm and her children, Casey and Cally; son, Chris Semrad and wife Teresa and their children, Dakota and Seth; father, Leroy Street; sister, Cheryl Street; and great-grandson, Noah.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Street, and husband, Lynn Semrad.

Memorials may be made to Hennessey Senior Citizen Center.
