Waukomis Cemetery


Funeral services for Kenneth L. Sabin , 82, of Tulsa, will be 2 p.m. today, April 19, 2009, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve Meier officiating. Burial will follow in Waukomis Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Navy.

Kenneth was born Nov. 7, 1926, in Clinton, Okla., to Edward and Beulah Vanderwork Sabin and died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa.

Kenneth graduated from Enid High School and went into the U.S. Navy in 1944. After his honorable discharge, Kenneth , his brother Gene, and their father started Sabin Propane Co. in Waukomis.

Kenneth married Cliffie Lou Williams May 11, 1947, in Enid. Kenneth was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church of Little Rock, Ark., the Lions Club, a 32nd Degree Mason and supported the FFA. After selling Sabin Propane Co., Kenneth worked in various executive positions in the propane industry. Although presented with various physical challenges, Kenneth always maintained his strong sense of humor and love for his family.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Cliffie Lou Sabin , of the home; daughters, Kathy Sabin Subowiez and husband Peter and Kitti Sabin Magruder and husband Jack; son, Kenneth Kevin Sabin and his wife Henry; five grandsons; three great-granddaughters; one brother, Edward Tipton Sabin Jr. and his wife Lana; and one sister, Dora Mae Krager.

The graveside service celebrating the life of Cliffie Lou Williams Sabin, 87, Tulsa, formerly of Waukomis, is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, in the Waukomis cemetery, under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1929, in Enid to Clifford and Kittie Williams, and passed from this life Sept. 2, 2016, in Tulsa. She was raised in Enid and graduated from Enid High School. She married Kenneth L. Sabin on May 11, 1947, in Enid. She is survived by two daughters, Kathy Sabin Subowicz and husband, Peter; Kitti Sabin Magruder and husband, Jack; son, Kenneth Kevin Sabin and wife, Henri; five grandchildren, Jack Magruder IV; Sifley Vison III; Samuel Sabin; Jacob Sabin; Joseph Sabin; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
