OBITUARY
Orman S. Flora, better known as Pete, was born near Clifton, Kan., on October 25, 1878, where he resided until February 1905, when he came to the Waukomis, Okla., community.
He was married to Mae Newton on January 3, 1907, at Enid, Okla.
On June 1, 1910, a baby girl six and a half months of age was taken into their home, whom they reared.
They resided on a farm near Waukomis until 1918 when they moved to a farm west of Bison, Okla. In 1926 they moved to the Ames community, where he resided until his death. He departed this life at Lahoma, Okla., on May 7, 1936, at 2:15 p.m. at the age of 57 years, 6 months and 12 days. His sickness was of but a few hours, although he had been in failing health for several years.
He leaves to mourn his departure, a daughter, Mrs. Esther Tripp; two grandchildren, Clarence Duane and Awanda Mae Tripp, all of Ames, Okla.; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Lowry of Enid, and Mrs. Paul Cain of Los Angeles, Calif.; nine nieces, five nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
