Our hearts goes out in sympathy to the relatives of little Bobby Dotson. Bobby, nine years old, the older son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Perle Dotson, died suddenly Saturday noon from diphtheria after an illness of only a few hours. He had gone to school Friday and came home feeling badly. No alarm was felt over his condition. Saturday morning after a doctor had been consulted but about 11:30 his condition became serious and he soon passed away. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.P Dotson, a younger brother, Richard, his grandmother, Mrs. Nora Woodson of Waukomis, his paternal grandmother in St. Louis and a number of aunts and uncles. Bobbie attended Prairie Gem school and was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Sunday School and will be sadly missed in both places. Private funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the home and interment made in the Waukomis cemetery.

There was no school at Prairie Gem the past week because of the death of Bobbie Dotson and the illness of a number of the other pupils.
