The community was again saddened by the death of Francis Blakeley, which occurred Saturday afternoon in an Enid hospital. Francis was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Blakeley and had lived in the community all her life. She became ill the day of her graduation from the 8th grade of the Pioneer school. Francis was beloved by all who knew her, the sorrow of her classmates and friends as they gathered for the last rites expressed more than words, the depth of their affection for her. The funeral service was conducted Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the Catholic church in Enid and the remains were laid to rest in the Waukomis cemetery.
