Recent Deaths
The funeral for Adalyn Neva Louise Krienke, 81, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Gary Hendrickson officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
She was born July 1, 1918 in Enid to the Rev. John H. and Kathryn MADELEK(MANDALEK) HOLTMANN and died Wed. Dec. 8, 1999 at St. Marys Hospital.
She graduated from Enid High School in 1936 and St. Marys's Nursing School in 1840, earning her registered nursing degree. She worked during WW11 as a nurse on construction projects at Madill and Okmulgee.
On June 1, 1947 she married Gustav E, Krienke in Enid. They lived in Follett, TX , where they farmed for 27 years. They retired in 1975 and moved to Enid. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Lutheran Missionary League.
Surviving are her husband Gus, of the home, children, Mike (Renie) Krienke of Enid, Paul Krienke of St. Louis, Daniel Krienke of Perryton, Texas, Mary "Beth" Thomas of Enid, and Lois (Ronnie) Maxwell of Omega; ten grandchildren, John, Amy, Stacie, Stephanie, Hollie, Charles, Charlie, Jane, Chad and Brad; one great-grandchildren and one brother Ervan Holtmann of Enid.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis, two brothers, one sister, and one grandson.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the Lutheran Hour.
