William T. Snawder was born near Louisville, Ky., on the 8th day of May 1840. In the year 1855, he, with his parents moved to Shelby Co., Mo., where he served his country three years in the Civil War. He was married to Miss Marie Snawder in the year 1865, March the 16th. To this union were born 7 children of whom 5 survive him.
He obeyed the gospel during the month of September 1868.
He leaves a wife, five children, one brother and one sister to mourn his departure. All, with the exception of his sister, attended his bedside.
Mr. Snawder had been a resident of Lahoma for several years and has been one of our leading citizens. He has the respect and esteem of every one and all join with the bereaved family in mourning his death.

We wish to express our sincere heartfelt thanks to the people of Lahoma and vicinity for their kindness and sympathy, shown during the last sickness of our beloved husband, brother and father. Mrs. W.T. Snawder died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Oden on last Monday night. She had been rather feeble for some time and her death was not unexpected. The funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Wellman came out from Enid and preached the funeral sermon. She was buried in Sunny Side cemetery.
