PIONEER RESIDENT DIES
Mrs. A.J. Murrey, aged 59 years, 9 months and 24 days, died at her home southeast of town Wednesday morning at about 9 o'clock. Mrs. Murrey was a pioneer resident of this section, locating here with her husband at the opening on the farm on which she died. She had been ill for some weeks as a result of complications from an attack of influenza last winter.
Her husband died a year ago in July and she had been living with her daughter up to a few months ago when she returned to the farm.
A son, Walter Murrey, and a daughter, Mrs. Viola Woodring, of Cushing, and other relatives survive her.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home at 3 o'clock p.m. The funeral sermon was delivered by Z.B. Cox, pastor of the Lahoma Christian church. Burial was made in the family plot in Sunnyside cemetery.
M.W. Wood was the undertaker in charge.
