May 09, 1930 - March 30, 2018

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Ella Mae James, 87, of Enid, will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in the First Baptist Church, Lahoma. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Lahoma. A family visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Monday April 2, 2018 in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born May 9, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Marvin and Ellen (Graves) Tramell and passed from this life March 30, 2018 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was a homemaker, C.N.A., and member of the House of Prayer. Her hobbies included gardening, taking care of her chickens and her dog Jake.

She had to quit school in the 3rd grade to help take care of her blind mother, while sister Rene cooked and cleaned. She married at 18 and had ten kids, moved to Goltry in 1976 to help her brother Clyde and sister Rene with their Mother. The family moved to Goltry and lived there from 1976-1993 from there they moved to Enid from 1994-2000, and Covington from 2000- 2013 she spent her final years in Greenbrier Nursing Home from 2013 until her passing.

She is survived by six sons Lesley James of Shelton, Washington, Robert James, Jr. of Wanette, Raymond James of Tulsa, Jimmy James of Mountainberg, Arkansas, Gerald James of Edmond, Charles James of Fort Worth, Texas, three daughters Donna Hamen of Ringwood, Linda Jantz of Lahoma, Betty Lorenz of Edmond, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert James, son Glen James, five brothers and two sisters and all grandparents.

Memorials may be made in her name to the “National Children's Cancer Society” with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
