The funeral service celebrating the life of Mrs. Barbara Anne Freeze, 72, of Enid, will be held at 10 a.m.Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel, with Brothers Dan Frederick and John Russell officiating. Burial will take place in Sunnyside Cemetery, east of Lahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Barbara Anne Hensley Freeze's spirit went home on July 3, 2017. She was born April 1, 1945, in Tulsa to Rita and Bill Hensley. She spent her early years feeding field hands from North Dakota to New Mexico. She met and married her one true love Leland Freeze and married on June 8, 1974. This resulted in three children adopting the best father they could ever have. Barbara had a passion for planting flowers, being outdoors in the sun and reading, especially the Bible.

She is survived by her beloved husband Leland Freeze; children: Tammie Daetwiler, Dale Weinand, Melanie Sawyer; brothers Gene and Jimmy Hensley, and brother-in-law Scott Freeze; sister Patricia Olson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.

Memorials can be made in her name to MD Anderson Cancer Center and Cancer Treatment Center of America in Tulsa, with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
