IN MEMORIAM
Died, Sunday morning, September 11, 1910, at Dr. Mayberry's hospital in Enid, Amy Alice Boettcher, wife of H.C. Boettcher, aged 25 years and 9 months. Acute Bright's disease was the cause of death.
Seldom has it been our duty to record a sadder death than this. When word was received here of the death of Mrs. Boettcher, a wave of sympathy for the bereaved family spread over the entire community.
She had been seriously ill for more than two months, and last week it was decided that an operation was necessary and she was taken to Dr. Mayberry's hospital at Enid and an operation performed on Thursday of last week. She was not strong enough to stand the shock and passed away Sunday morning at 6:45 o'clock.
The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P.M. Enright. She was married to H.C. Boettcher, March 1, 1905. Besides the husband, she is survived by two little daughters, one not quite two, and the other past three years old; a father, mother, four brothers and two sisters.
The funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon from the home of her parents and was largely attended. Burial was in Sunny Side cemetery. Rev. Nelson, of the Methodist church, had charge of the services.
