Charlene Marie Young, 76, service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008, in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel with Pastor Dan O'Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery at Carrier under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. There will be visitation with the family from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday in the Ladusau-Evans Chapel.

Charlene was born on a farm four miles north of Carrier, February 24, 1932, to Charles Henry and Hazel Marie Droke Bickford. She passed away Saturday afternoon, March 15, 2008, at her home in Enid. She married Dennis Mac Young, January 14, 1950, in Enid. Charlene was a beloved wife and mother first and foremost. She grew up in Carrier, OK and graduated from Carrier High School before moving to Enid in 1950. She spent many years taking care of children for others in her home. She was active in Enid Christian Union Church, teaching Sunday school and in the Women's Circle. Charlene enjoyed all kinds of crafts, mainly sewing and crocheting. She loved to play cards on the computer and watch basketball and baseball games and game shows. She also enjoyed camping and fishing.

Charlene was a member of the Red Hat Society Serendipity Chapter. She worked for Weight Watchers and was also an Avon Lady for many years. She enjoyed selling Avon and was a member of the President's Club. Charlene currently attended Cowboy Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Hazel Bickford, Baby Brother Bickford; son, Terry Lee and granddaughter, Tiffany Ann Young.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Mac of the home; son, Michael Neal and wife Sally of Tulsa; son, Jay Dennis and wife Carolyn of Enid; daughter, Jan Denise and husband, Dale Dunsworth of Mt. Airy, Maryland; grandsons, Christopher Neal and wife Philisha Young of Jenks, Chad Michael and wife Amber Young of Killeen, Texas, Charles Dennis and wife Stephanie Young of Enid, Jeremy Dale Dunsworth of Rockville, Maryland, and Benjamin Clark Dunsworth of Mt. Airy, Maryland; great-grandchildren, Mersades Nicole Dawn Young of Jenks, Christopher Michael Young of Jenks, Matthew Neal Young of Jenks, Sebastian Kious Young of Killeen, Texas, and LilyAnn Rose Young of Enid; brother and sister-in-laws, Melvin and Sandy Young of Adair, OK, Kay Smith of Pryor, OK and Stanley and Ginger Young of Enid, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be given to the Cowboy Church with the funeral home custodian of the funds.
