Rose Hill Cemetery


Funeral service for Robert D. “Red” Johnson, 73, of Enid, Okla., will be 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2015, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dan O’Daniel officiating. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier. Visitation with the family present is 5:30-7 p.m. today, Feb. 22, at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Robert was born Oct. 23, 1941, in Enid, Okla., to Walter and Ethel Nelson Johnson and died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015, in Enid.

He grew up in Enid and attended Enid High School.

On Sept. 17, 1962, Robert married Judith Stoner in Enid, where they made their home.

He worked in the oil field for many years and later worked at Oakwood West Apartments in maintenance.

Robert loved to dance, rodeos, horses and spending time with family and friends. He was a practical joker.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Judith, his parents and twin sister, Roberta Coffey.

He is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Rebecca and B.J. Logsdon and Audra and Charles Pester, all of Enid; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; brother and his wife, Thomas and Elaine Johnson of Chickasha; and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to OMRF, heart division.
