A memorial service for Mary Grace Hall Boyington, 83, will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Parker Mortuary. The Rev. William Christman will officiate. Cremains will be privately buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier.
She was born Aug. 23, 1916 in Carrier and died April 1, 2000 in a Joplin, MO health care center. She had moved to Joplin in 1953 from Tulsa. She worked in the family business, Boyington Shoes from 1953 to 1982. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. On Jan. 12, 1936 she married Carlton A. "Carl" Boyingnton in Blackwell. They were active in many community and civic activities. She was a Girl Scout leader and president of Rotary Annes.

Surviving are her husband Carl; two sons, Mike of Santa Monica, CA ; Richard of Memphis, TN; two daughters, Connie Lowery of Ventura, CA; Sharon Brown of Centerton. Ark.; one brother, Boyd Hall of Portland, OR ; three sisters, Vera Gamble of San Diego; Lois Turner of Atlanta, GA; Beth Kennedy of Portland; six grand children and four great grand children.

Ventura California
A grave service for Carlton A. Boyington,90, will be at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Carrier, OK. The body was cremated at his request.

He was born Dec. 10, 1910 to Charles and Clyde Boyington and died Sunday Sept. 30, 2001 in Ventura CA.

On Jan. 12, 1936 he married Mary Grace Hall. He managed a shoe store in Enid and then seved in the Philippines during WW II. They moved to Joplin where he founded Boyington's Shoes .

He is survived by one daughter, Connie Lowery of Venrura, CA; two sons, Mike and Richard and one sister, Marcia Carroll of Enid.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, and one daughter.
