CARRIER --- Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 11, 1964 in the Brown
Funeral Home Chapel in Enid for Henry Bickford, 65, who died in an Enid
hospital Monday afternoon. He was a prominent farmer and a long-time resident
of the Carrier community.
Born at Canton, Ill., Bickford came to Oklahoma in 1899 with his parents
and first settled near Carrier. Later he lived for a time at Lahoma and Nash.
He had lived at Carrier the last 33 years. He was a veteran of World War 1
and a member of the Carrier Congregational church and the American Legion at Goltry.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel, of the home, a daughter Mrs. Dennis
(Charlene) Young of Enid, a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Anderson of Vallejo,
Calif., four brothers, James of Vallejo, Frank of Redding, Calif., and
Eugene and Burnett of Napa, Calif.; four grandchildren and several neices and
nephews.
